5. Kansas State at Oklahoma State

BetMGM Line: Oklahoma State -4.5 o/u: 60.5

Why You Should Bet On Kansas State: The Wildcats are doing just about every little thing right. It’s not as air-tight a team as Wisconsin when it comes to controlling the clock, not getting penalized, and not turning the ball over, but it’s right up there. Under new head coach Chris Klieman, K-State is dictating the tempo over the first three games and making teams play its game.

Why You Should Bet On Oklahoma State: Good luck stopping this offense. Everything is clicking, from the running of Chuba Hubbard, to the dual-threat play of QB Spencer Sanders, the attack is able to explode. The weapons are there at the skill spots that Kansas State doesn’t have, starting with a ground attack that should be able to rumble at will.

Prediction: Stay … far … away. But that’s not why you called, so go with Oklahoma State -4.5, but don’t like it all that much. This will be a close battle that should come down to mistakes, and the Cowboys will make more of them. At home, though, take the team with the more explosive attack, and LOVE the over on the 60.5 – CFN Full Kansas State vs. Oklahoma State Game Preview & Prediction

4. Arizona State at Cal

BetMGM Line: Cal -4.5, o/u: 42.5

Why You Should Bet On Arizona State: In a game with two amazing defenses, like the team with the better offense. It’s been a struggle, and scoring points has been like pulling teeth at times, but QB Jayden Daniels hasn’t been freaked out by the big moment in the big games, and he’s just starting to come into his own. On the road, ASU already proved it could win at Michigan State – the Spartans are better than the Bears.

Why You Should Bet On Cal: If you don’t believe in Daniels and the Sun Devil passing game, then go heavy on Cal. There’s no running on the Bear front seven – ASU isn’t hitting 100 yards – that’s been amazing at getting into the backfield. Cal keeps finding ways to win close games.

Prediction: Hold your nose and go with the over on the 42.5; but see if you can wait for it to go down a little bit. The defenses might be great, but this should be played in the low 20s. And while you’re trying to rationalize the over in a game with two teams that can’t score, go with ASU and the points. The Sun Devils could win this outright with a far, far better passing game, and there’s a solid chance that this ends up 10-7 in one way or the other. – CFN Full Arizona State vs. Cal Game Preview & Prediction

3. USC at Washington

BetMGM Line: Washington -10.5, o/u: 61

Why You Should Bet On USC: Are you buying into the USC passing game? Matt Fink is getting the call after stepping in against Utah and saving the day, but it’s his receivers that need to take over to pull this off. Michael Pittman and company are making all the Trojan passers look great so far, and now the team is looking and playing like it has the offense explosion to hang around with everyone.

Why You Should Bet On Washington: There’s no USC running game to get fired up about, and it’s certainly not going to get through security to make the plane on time for the trip to Seattle. The UW defense will give up passing yards, but it locks down just fine when it has to, only allowing three touchdown passes so far this year.

Prediction: There’s Oregon, and there’s Washington. Yeah, Cal beat the Huskies, but that was a brilliant performance by the Bears that turned into the equivalent of a great starting pitcher throwing a gem. The Huskies are good enough to rip through everyone else in the conference but the Ducks, and they’ll roll by double-digits here. Like the Dawgs giving the points, love the under on this more – USC isn’t going to do much on this U-Dub D.– CFN Full USC vs. Washington Game Preview & Prediction

2. Virginia at Notre Dame

BetMGM Line: Notre Dame -12.5, o/u: 48.5

Why You Should Bet On Notre Dame: If you believe that Ian Book and his big, nasty receiving corps will control the game, you’ll love the Irish in this. The lines are terrific, and the defense that held up well against Georgia should keep the average Virginia offense in check, but the difference should be a passing game with the very large NFL-caliber targets winning their share of 50/50 plays down the field.

See All Results For This Question

Why You Should Bet On Virginia: There’s nothing happening from the Notre Dame running backs, and they’re not going to show up this week, either. Unlike Georgia, Virginia has a devastating pass rush that takes over games – it leads the nation in sacks – for a team that knows how to control games. Be stunned if the Cavaliers don’t dominate the time of possession battle.

Prediction: You’re getting 12.5 with Virginia?! Absolutely. The Cavaliers could win this outright with the right defense, the right veteran quarterback in Bryce Perkins, and the right style to pull off the upset. At the very least, they should be able to grind this game down to their pace. The 48.5 isn’t all that high, but this should be a bruising, low-scoring game without a whole ton of fireworks, at least from the UVa side. – CFN Full Virginia vs. Notre Dame Game Preview & Prediction

1. Ohio State at Nebraska

BetMGM Line: Ohio State -17, o/u: 66.5

Why You Should Bet On Ohio State: Nebraska failed miserably in its one game against a team with an offense – collapsing late against Colorado – and this Ohio State attack is humming at a whole other level. Justin Fields and the explosive NFL weapons around him will get all the attention, but the Buckeye defensive line should take over in key moments. If you haven’t seen pass rushing star Chase Young yet, do it before he becomes one of the top three picks in next year’s draft.

Why You Should Bet On Nebraska: And Ohio State has beaten … uhhhhhh … ummmmmm … Indiana? Whoopee. Now the Buckeyes get a real test on the road against a team that somehow is quietly exploding. The Nebraska ground game needed a while, but it’s gained more yards in each of the four games as the offense keeps progressing. In what should be a shootout between two big-time offenses, the Huskers are getting 17 at home. Ohio State is great, but that’s a lot to give up against this attack. But …

Prediction: Whatever … take Ohio State anyway. Nebraska has an offense, Ohio State has an offense, Ohio State has a defense, and Nebraska has … an offense. The Husker D will slow down Fields and company for a while, but when the explosion comes, it’ll be from the Buckeyes to pull away. Be a wee bit afraid of going over on the point total, but if you need to pick a side, assume these two offenses will push for 70. – CFN Full Ohio State vs. Nebraska Game Preview & Prediction
